Securing your UAE residence visa is the final and most exciting step in your business setup journey. It's the key that unlocks your new life as a resident entrepreneur in the Emirates. While the process involves multiple stages, it is very straightforward when managed by an expert. This guide provides a clear, step-by-step overview of the visa application process.
Whether you're applying for an Investor Visa as a business owner or an Employment Visa for your staff, the core process remains the same. Our PRO services team specializes in navigating these steps efficiently.
The journey from applicant to resident involves four mandatory milestones. Here’s how it works:
The process begins once your company's Establishment Card (Immigration Card) is issued. We then apply for an "Entry Permit" for you. This is a temporary visa that allows you to enter the country for the purpose of your residency application. If you are already inside the UAE on a tourist visa, we will apply for an "in-country" status change to activate this permit without you needing to exit.
Once your entry permit is active, you must undergo a mandatory medical fitness test at a government-approved health center. This test is straightforward and typically includes a blood test and a chest X-ray to screen for communicable diseases. We schedule this appointment for you and can arrange for VIP services to get the results in just a few hours.
At the same time as your medical test, you must visit a Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship (ICP) center to provide your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for your Emirates ID card. This official ID card is your primary form of identification within the UAE. We book this appointment for you to ensure a smooth and quick visit.
This is the final step. Once you have passed the medical test, we submit your passport, medical results, and Emirates ID application to the Immigration authority. They will then affix the official residence visa sticker into your passport. Once this is done, you are officially a UAE resident. Your physical Emirates ID card will be delivered shortly after.
While our team handles all the application forms and government liaison, you will need to provide a few personal documents:
The visa process is a well-defined path. With an expert partner managing the paperwork and appointments, it becomes a simple and stress-free experience, allowing you to focus on your new life and business in the UAE. January 25, 2025This step-by-step guide is fantastic. It's so much clearer now what I actually need to do in person versus what the PRO team handles. Thank you!
